Revitalise with Bonevolent
Bonevolent is a game changer.
Bone broth has long been recognised as a dense therapeutic nutritional support. When we as humans evolved in our sooty caves, we had our early canine partners hanging around and eating our scraps of gristle and cartilage. Our earliest dogs shared our bounty and became our allies and our lifestyles have been intertwined ever since. This worked out well for each of us until the early 20th century when science and modern industry introduced convenient instant foods… but it came at a cost. For the first time, grain became a major ingredient and so rose the era of “scientific” and so-called “balanced” kibbles. Some of the important building blocks in nutrition disappeared, replaced by binders and fillers.
We now see what generations of this practice has left us with, and so, we look at our dogs as loving family members, and want to do better for them. People are now pushing back and choosing to feed raw to have control of what their dog is eating. You chose what to give. You observe the results. You have the power to adjust and perfect the diet for your dog.
For my own dogs, I would gather collagen and nutrient-rich items such as chicken necks, kneecaps, gnarly gristle from around the joints, shank, pork skin, windpipe, and beef neck, which I would use to create a super nutritious bone broth to add to their diet. This was a labour of love as it took hours upon hours of simmering on the stovetop until I had a very concentrated liquid. This highly reduced broth was then pooled and refrigerated so that I could have my spoon-bouncing jelly ready for use.
Recognising the tremendous value early, I had always been an advocate of the benefits of bone broth (bone broth is even recommended on the label for Sunday Sundae as a mix to deliver this anti-inflammatory and digestive supplement). But there many reasons which make DIY broth difficult, so it is understandable if you are not able or willing to make it yourself. Unfortunately broth products available in stores are little more than soup stock; costly and not able to provide the results you’re looking for.
As a raw feeder since 1978, these are the efforts I took to provide my dogs with ultimate nutrition. Until now there was no other option. I’m excited to provide you with an extremely convenient, high-value nutritional, concentrated bone broth in a shelf-stable powder form. I have fortified the bone broth with additional collagen sourced from beef (for types 1&3) and chicken collagen (type 2), as well as glucosamine.
